Handfasting/ Wedding FAQ: What is a Couples Questionnaire? An outline what the each party offers to and expects from the union. It covers all relevant situations which might arise: fidelity, children, money, potential dissolution, and anything else that the couple may feel to be of importance. By addressing these issues beforehand, the couple will be forced to think about how they feel about them and potential misunderstandings are reduced. How are Travel Fees figured? Travel fees are determined by the General Services Administration (GSA). The GSA establishes per diem rates for destinations within the Continental United States. Lodgings, meals, and other expenses are determined by Domestic Per Diem and vary by city, state, and will be written into the contract. This is mainly for out-of-state locations and is in lieu of the mileage fee. The mileage fee applies to the Consultation, Rehearsal, and Ceremony. Privately Owned Vehicle (POV) Mileage Reimbursement Rates are currently set at $0.55 per mile outside 30 miles of Columbus, Indiana. Exact overage fees may be calculated by using Google Maps to find the actual distance to your ceremony/rehearsal site(s). What will I receive? Why do Officiants charge so much?
Believe it or not, hiring the officiant is the least expensive cost yet the only part that is really required. You can have a ceremony without flowers or candles, but you can't have a one without an officiant. Keep in mind that most officiants are independent and the fee for services are his or her income.
In many ceremonies, it takes hours of work: - Consultations, scheduling, emails, phone calls - Research - Ceremony modifications, last minute changes, re-approvals by the bride and groom - Ceremony practice time (not including the rehearsal) - Travel - Paperwork (tax forms, files, revisions)
